THE PERFECT ORGANISM

Alien Isolation may be one of the better more recent titles to come from the Alien franchise, but considering the franchise will turn 40 in 2019 it should come as no surprise that the series has seen its fair share of video game adaptations. Here are three Alien licensed video games that should present a challenge (well two at least) even today, and as such should be worth a replay, even more so if you are an Alien fan. If you wish to play any of these games we suggest using emulators to play them on your PC/Laptop.

ALIEN 3
To coincide with the release of the movie in 1992, Arena Entertainment, Acclaim Entertainment, LJN and Virgin Interactive co-published a video game adaptation which was co-developed by Probe Software and Eden Entertainment Software and released across all of the 8-bit and 16-bit system available at the time. Celebrated at the time of its release the SNES adaptation of the game is fondly remembered and has become something a retro cult classic, and one of the few decent games born from the Alien franchise.

ALIENS: THE ARCADE GAME
Released in 1990 and developed and published by Konami, this arcade game should appeal to casual gamers looking for a mindless time waster. A side scrolling shooting game in which the players can choose between either Ripley or Hicks as you progress through a series of stages killing hordes of multi colored Aliens similar to those released as a range of toys by Kenner, usually with a boss Alien marking the end of a level, and the occasional P5000 Powerloader to control.
ALIEN
Co-developed by Amsoft and Concept Software Ltd., and co-developed and published by Argus Press Software Ltd, this adaptation of the 1979 movie was released in 1984 for the Commodore 64 and ZXSpectrum, and in 1985 for the Amstrad CPC. A strategy adventure game featuring a very simple graphical interface, this game is not intended for casual gamers looking to blast a few Aliens. However, devout fans of the movie should enjoy this menu driven game whereby the player manages the crew of the Nostromo as they attempt to survive the Alien creature born from crew member Kane. For its time the game features a clever emotional status system in which crew members emotions can rise and fall depending on the situation, which can, in turn, affect their behavior and their actions which could prove fatal. The goal of the game is to, as it was in the movie, to escape in the lifeboat Narcissus without falling foul to the Alien.

Important: We have to state that to legally emulate games, you must own the system and game you are emulating.
